Simply put, I love helping people.
There’s nothing better to me than helping you create, transform, or make an impact – whether in your career or across an entire organization. It’s funny that it took me more than a decade into my career to realize that this could be a job. Growing up, I wasn’t sure how my passion and energy for people could be put to work, but apparently – there was a whole world of focus waiting just for me.
I discovered the field of organization development and went on to earn a Master of Science degree in it from American University. In doing so, I unlocked a path that has led me to become a people-oriented partner. Though I’d always been a fan of helping others, organization development is an area of expertise that allows me to co-create shifts and powerful change not just in individuals but across entire companies. Through this work, I get to guide entire organizations on how to learn, grow, and lead.
It’s been decades more since then and I’ve used this master’s, my master’s in religious education, and multiple coaching certifications to equip me with the education to partner with you. Moreover, while I’ve had the opportunities to work as a consultant, coach and trainer for over 30 years, I’ve also served directly in positions of responsibility for City of Raleigh, GlaxoSmithKline, and Catholic Diocese of Raleigh in that time as well.
And throughout my career, I’ve not only consulted and coached on organization change, I’ve also led change efforts myself: directly managing the strategies, execution, and sustainment - saving millions of dollars and transforming company culture and performance for years to come.
With engagement across a wide range of industries and having been and coached executive leadership, I’m grateful that every aspect of my work has shared one powerful connection: people. And if I’ve learned anything across the years, it’s really this: people are what make your big picture possible.
At every turn, that’s absolutely what they’ve done for me, and I’m all the better for it. And if you share a love of people and an energy for co-creating change, I’d love to connect with you. I’m happy to help.
